Floats

We went to the float preview party to check out some of the floats that would be in the parade on the 24th of July. The kids had lots of fun looking at them and voting for their favorite. Luke circled several numbers as his favorite and then just picked one of them. My favorite was this cricket float. They even had an eye spy game to go along with it, but we didn't take a lot of time to look for things.

After seeing the floats we went to a park and had some lunch, then headed over to the dollar movie to see How to Train Your Dragon. The kids enjoyed the movie. Luke got a little scared but couldn't stop watching it.

After the movie we came home and changed into swimming suits and headed to the pool for the girls track party. It was kind of fun to go to a pool that is bigger than ours. The girls jumped off both the high diving board and the low one. There were a couple of slides for them to go down too. I think Luke enjoyed being able to touch and walk pretty far into the pool. It was a fun day. Wish I would have remembered to bring my camera to the pool. Oh well!
