Facebook friends requests

I love it when I get an email or a notification on Facebook that says I have a new friend request. I love looking to see which of my long-lost acquaintances has found me. What I don't love, though, is when it's just some totally random person that I've never met and likely never will meet, who just wants to "build a network" of people with similar hobbies or interests or whatever. Please, people, build networks IN PERSON, then add those people to your friends online that you actually KNOW.

Or at least send me a message saying who you are and why you want to be my friend before just arbitrarily "adding" me. Sheesh.
