Trip to Moab
On Friday we headed down to Moab. The morning started off pretty rough since Zach's back was hurting him pretty bad. The drive was long with three kids squished in the back seat. We stopped in Price for lunch and arrived in Moab at about 2. When we got to the place we were staying at we found out that our reservations was for Saturday night not Friday. With some work and moving others around we finally got it worked out and had a cabin to stay in. There was a really fun playground for the kids to play at. We ate dinner at the Moab Cafe and did a little shopping.

We were hoping that Zach's back would be better and he would be able to hike to Delicate Arch with Luke in the backpack. But alas he was in too much pain and so we were just going to forget the hike and go souvenir shopping but even that seemed to be too much for Zach. It was worked out that the girls and I could ride with other family and go on the hike. It was kind of hard for me to do alone with the girls but we made it. Some of the way they would be complaining that their legs hurt and they couldn't make it any farther but then they would change their tune and press forward saying we needed to get to the end and we were doing it for Daddy. When we got to the top it was so windy we hurried and snapped the pictures and started down the trail.

We hung out at the RV park for a little while and then headed into town so the girls could get some souvenirs. We had a late lunch at the Slick Rock Cafe and then headed out of town. We made it home Saturday night around 9. We went from beautiful sunny 70 degree weather and came home to cold snowy rainy weather. I am already missing the warmth and the sun. I'm so ready for spring!!
We are sad that Zach and Luke didn't join us on the hike but are glad that some of us could make it. Guess we'll have to go to Moab again soon. And stay for more than one night. That drive wasn't worth one night and we need a bigger car...

It looks like you had fun, in spite of the bad back! I'm glad you made it back home safely.
Sounds like a fun trip, and I hope Zach's back recovers quickly. I could sure use some Moab...Detroit rain/snow/slush/fog/grayness is starting to get me down.
Hi Zach & Robyn:
I'm so glad you had a chance to get out of the icky cold and breath some warm air in Moab. I've been dreaming about trips to either Moab or St. George, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I am sooooooo ready for some warmer weather.
Hope all is well.
