First Day of School

Schools started and let's just say it was a rough week getting back into schedule and homework and all that fun stuff. The bus was taken away and so the girls really wanted to walk to school their first day. We got all ready and set out. It was hot and they didn't wear the best of shoes. I'd already gotten up that morning and went for a run, and my legs did not like this additional walk. I decided after having to walk back home that we weren't going to be walking to school again. Not to mention the lack of crossing guard at one street. Driving them to and from school has been quite the adjustment. I miss the convenience of the bus, and I'm already dreading winter. They are loving school so far, although I'm sure it will change before too long.
