Why John McCain Must Lose
With the withdrawal of Mitt Romney from the Presidential Race of 2008, and the hopelessness of the Ron Paul campaign, it is now safe to say that the next president of the united States will be either John McCain, Barrack Obama, or Hillary Clinton. In other words, we'll have a liberal in the White House.
It's unavoidable at this point. My goal is now to ensure a conservative takes the White House back in 2012. It's only 4 years away.
In order for this to happen, McCain MUST NOT WIN in 2008. The reason is simple. The Democrats aren't going to nominate a conservative to challenge the incumbent McCain in 2012 if he should win in 2008. They are more likely to nominate Edwards, Obama, Clinton, or some other yahoo like Howard Dean or John Kerry. In other words, we'll once again be faced with a liberal vs. liberal choice for President. And then, in 2016, McCain's VP will likely run (Huckabee for President? Are you serious?), so while there may be a shot for conservatism in 2016 depending on who McCain selects for a running mate THIS YEAR, chances are it's going to be a "conservative" who agrees with many of McCain's positions. So we'd be hopeless, as conservatives, until 2016 or 2020, at the earliest.
Hence, McCain has to lose. For the last several elections, the person who finished 2nd in the Republican race for nomination has come back to win the nomination the next time (McCain finished second in 2000, for example). Hence, if McCain loses, the stage will be set and the voters will be ready to elect Mitt Romney in 2012.
So, for the love of all that is good and holy, vote for the Democrat nominee for President this November. It's our only hope.
And then vote for all the conservative Republican congresspeople you can find, so that the aforementioned Democratic president will get very very little done. And write to Justice Scalia of the Supreme Court.... tell him not to die or retire in the next 3-4 years.
And check out that picture... I mean, really, do we want a President with a comb-over??!?!
