Saturday Fun

Luke and Zach went on their first Fathers and Sons camp out last weekend.  It was up American Fork Canyon so they had to pay $6 for a three day pass.  They didn't stay overnight so Zach could get in a run Saturday morning.  Luke was up in the night and so was Emmy and since he gets up with them and lets me sleep he didn't make it on a run.  (I consider myself very lucky that he gets up with the kids most of the time.)  We decided to use this pass and go up American Fork Canyon.  We found a couple of treasures (geocaching) and enjoyed the beauty of the canyon.  We also went to Bridal Veil Falls.  The kids had fun playing in the water.  It was nice to get out of the house on a Saturday and enjoy the mountains.

The kids all love to go looking for treasures.  They like trading some of their toys for something new.

The leaves were already starting to change.  I can't wait to go back in a couple of weeks.

After finding one treasure we continued on a little hike.  Luke loved hiking.  He was often in the front leading everyone.

Bridal Veil Falls.  It was fun to show the kids the waterfall.

Of course we had to go on the bridges.  Luke is very obsessed with them.  He didn't like them too much when he saw all the spider webs on the side.  I however thought it was pretty cool to see them spun so perfectly.  (click on picture to enlarge and see)

And of course Zach and the kids couldn't stay out of the water.

Sounds like a great day! And Zach, you are my new hero with bagging your run to let your wife sleep in. You're a great husband.
