So long to a class act.

Most of you know that I'm a huge Utah Jazz fan. This past season, I became specifically a huge Derek Fisher fan. I haven't admired a Jazz player to this degree since Jeff Hornacek retired. Like Jeff Hornacek, Derek Fisher is a class act from A to Z. The man has life in perspective. As a case in point, yesterday he withdrew from his contract with the Jazz in which he was to make nearly $21 million over the next three years so that he could better care for his infant daughter who has a rare form of eye cancer. He said "There is more to life than basketball and sports and that is why we're sitting here today."

I want to wish the Fisher family the best and I hope and pray that little Tatum Fisher will be well. Derek, you're not just a basketball player that will be missed on the floor, you're a class act that contributed to a community, and Utah will be worse off without you here.

I agree with your sentiment. The Jazz are going to miss his leadership and basketball abilities, but even more they will miss his sense of honor and fair play.

Touche!Derek gives hope to the professional athlete, and hope that maybe the NBA may have some character and morality. By the way Long Live the Sacramento Kings, may they beat the Jazz in every game next season! Oh yeah, you were wrong with your guess of ensign peak on my picture even though the picture title says that it is above ensign peak by the radios towers. It is a great mountain bike ride.
